| Nigerians queue for fuel at night |
Nigerians
are pretty confused right now, they do not know who to blame for the long
queues, is it President Muhammadu Buhari or the senate?
Two weeks ago the federal government approved payment of
413 billion naira ($2 billion) in subsidies, some dating from 2014, but funds
have yet to be transferred because they have yet to approved by the senate.
According to Reuters, importers have not been paid their
subsidy since Buhari succeeded Goodluck Jonathan and the delay has worsened the
financial crunch for importers.
At a fuel station on LASU-Ojo road Nigerians are forced
to keep vigil and motorists barely have a chance of buying fuel.
Our correspondent was restrained from taking photographs
but here are some pictures.
