Supreme Court Sacks Stella Oduah, Andy Ubah, Names Replacements

The Supreme Court of Nigeria has sacked Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Anambra state lawmakers including Stella Oduah, Andy Ubah from the senate.

It would be recalled that an Appeal court had earlier sacked Senator Uche Ekwunife Anambra Central) ordering fresh elections within 90 days.

The apex court then named Anambra at the Senate now Chris Ubah (Anambra South), John Emeka (Anambra North) and Annie Okonkwo (Anambra Central).

They were sacked by the court in a ruling delivered today, January 29.

It would be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission had declared them winners after the senatorial election held last year.

Ekwunife subsequently dumped her party, the PDP, for the ruling All Progressives Congress.
